I’ve got a cool looking military style watch that I know anything about! It’s hand wound, pull out post just south of the fluted crown for setting the time and a hinged back. The porcelain dial is unmarked, has a couple of hairline cracks and the movement is stamped Swiss Made. I believe the case is gun metal and looks just like it does in the pictures. It has wire lugs that appear to be added after the watch was made which makes me wonder if it was a pocket watch at some point. The movement winds easily but my fat fingers make it hard to get the stem out without tweezers to assist me. The stem for setting the time must be held ins place when you lift it from the case and then set the watch with the tapered fluted crown. I love these old watches but my collection has grown too large for this older man. I sell vintage (antique) and used watches. If you are looking for a re-conditioned watch, I do have some that have been serviced. Simply read the description and it will tell you. If you are unclear what serviced means, please ask and I will gladly explain. If it has a day and or date function, I make sure they change properly. If they dont, I will note that in the listing. I make no claim as to how accurate or how long the watch will run. Even a watch that has been serviced may still not keep great time. Those that have been serviced will command a higher price as I have to pay my watchmaker for his time and parts. It is certainly worth the investment as it will postpone those small hard to find parts in the movement from wearing out and improves the odds of the watch running better and lasting longer. If you are new to mechanical watches, please ask me your questions and I will help you understand more about this fascinating hobby. Please do not try to wind a watch for the first time without asking an old geezer like me, watching a YouTube video or ask Google. Its quite simple but Ive watched too many people yank a stem right out of a watch or attempt to keep winding it when they should have already stopped. A self-winding (automatic) watch will not run all day with a few shakes of the wrist. Just ask and you will find me to be very patient with answering your questions. Please keep this in mindold watches are just like old cars. They may be running one day and not the next. When you receive your watch please inspect it. If you see a discrepancy, please report it to me immediately. I will try my best to work it out.
