Smith & Wesson Factory 2 Piece Box K Blue with Corner Braces VG-Exc 1979 fits S&W 6 1/2 inch Revolver or 5 to 7 inch Semi Auto. This listing is for the exact box in the photos. Here is an original factory unlabeled 2 piece blue box for Smith & Wesson 7 inch barreled models 41 and 46. It will fit 6 to 6 1/2 inch N Frame Revolvers well enough also. Inside of the upper lid is stamped April 25 1979 from the factory. Construction is two piece folded cardboard with steel edge hinges and with S&W dark blue paper overlay. Internal dimensions are 14 inches length, by 7 1/4 inches width or height, by 1 3/4 inches thickness. External dimensions are slightly more, of course. This box came from a Nashville area collection, and probably housed in model 41 that we had for sale on another venue at press time on this ad. Surface detractions are minimal to moderate, principally some edge wear, top spotting, and dim grease pencil reference to its original owner, dear old Uncle Lee. We rate this box as Very Good, perhaps even Excellent Condition; but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves.
