This is the authentic military issued packaging for your Remington Ranf 1911A1 pistol as issued during ww2 and by the department of civilian marksmanship. All military specifications have been verified, including both outside and inside dimensions as well as the caliper of the pasteboard and paper covering. Your pistol will fit correctly in this box, snug form corner to corner which was critical for military packaging and is the first indicator of authenticity. Also of special importance in determining authenticity is the color of the kraft paper. Important to notice are the slight inconsistencies in the printing. For instance, the “K” in “STOCK” and the “O” in “ORD” sit slightly higher than the letters next to them. This shows it was printed using physical type dies and not a modern computer-based setup. These things are important to notice in determining the box’s authenticity. This box is unlike ANY OTHER 1911A1 kraft boxes available on the market.
