Smith & Wesson Factory 2 Piece Box K Blue with Corner Braces VG-Exc 1979 fits S&W 6 1/2 inch Revolver or 5 to 7 inch Semi Auto. This listing is for the exact box in the photos. Here is an original factory unlabeled 2 piece blue box for Smith & Wesson 7 inch barreled models 41 and 46. It will fit 6 to 6 1/2 inch N Frame Revolvers well enough also. Inside of the upper lid is stamped April 25 1979 from the factory. Construction is two piece folded cardboard with steel edge hinges and with S&W dark blue paper overlay. Internal dimensions are 14 inches length, by 7 1/4 inches width or height, by 1 3/4 inches thickness. External dimensions are slightly more, of course. This box came from a Nashville area collection, and probably housed in model 41 that we had for sale on another venue at press time on this ad. Surface detractions are minimal to moderate, principally some edge wear, top spotting, and dim grease pencil reference to its original owner, dear old Uncle Lee. We rate this box as Very Good, perhaps even Excellent Condition; but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Here is an original factory 2 piece blue box for Smith & Wesson 2 Barreled Small J Frame Revolvers. From this box’s M150000 range serial number, it issued in 1980 or 1981, late Bangor Punta period. It housed a 2 inch blued. 32 Kit Gun, numbered model 34-1. Construction is two piece folded cardboard with steel edge hinges and with S&W blue paper overlay. Internal dimensions are 7 3/8 inches length, by 4 1/2 inches width or height, by 1 7/16 inches thickness. External dimensions are slightly more, of course. Item listed is a Vintage Black Hand Tooled Leather Horse Saddle 2 Piece Gun Case. I want to say that I always try to describe the items as best as I can. I do not claim to be an expert on the majority of the items I sell. I will 100% make it right. 5 Star service is my goal. Another awesome Item I was able to pull out of the late old timers gunsmith shop. I have another one of these listed while it lasts. I will also be listing a few more familiar brand cases as well that are old and awesome. There is no brand on this that I could find but this is definitely older. This is a two piece leather gun case that can attach to a saddle when riding on a horse. May have been used for Elk hunting or Mule Deer hunting in the mountains. The leather is solid and stiff like it was designed to be. This one has a little split in the stitching where the top part attached to the lower part. That could be repaired easily. All of the straps appear to be there so this will attach to a saddle. There is some stitching popping here and there, some black color loss on the edges, some marks and the rivets and buckles show some age. This will hold and store a gun perfectly and will display nicely if you choose. The lining on the inside on this one is black in color on both ends and looks like older dyed sheep skin but it is thinner and not as fluffy as maybe it once was. The color is black with some hand tooled designs on the case. When put together, this measures 46″ in length x 9″ at the widest. The length could be adjusted an inch or two either way.
